New Starters Gift Pack - Reception Children

(0)
I have created these packs for the children starting school in September to have over the summer. Please see the cover image for the finished result. The packs I made include: A letter outlining what is in the pack (I stuck these on the front of the bags) a Summer Challenge for the children to do over the summer (working on fine motor skills, fastening buttons, sharing stories etc) a pack which has a poem about our school routine (you can adapt!), space for pictures of the school and staff a small letter for the parents which can be included in a gift given to open on their child’s first day of school (my gift included a mini chocolate bar, tissues and tea bags and I wrote on the front 'dear parents of… please do not open until Tuesday 4th September) a small letter to be included with a little pot of play dough (for children to work on their fine motor skills and pencil grip over the summer) To go with these resources, I bought some paper bags, brown envelopes (for the parent gift), play dough pots, chocolate bars, tea bags and tissue packs. These can be sourced pretty cheap on amazon. The TES preview shows my work in a different font - it is actually saved in comic sans. I use pre cursive font in my class, but I know that not everyone does! :-)

Year Book - End of Year Transition Activity

(0)
Great as a transition activity and ‘end of year’ gift! - Can be edited to suit all primary year groups I made this book for my class to complete during the last few weeks of reception and then take home as part of their leaving gift. It’s a fun way of noting how they feel about completing their first year of school, talking about transition and some good memories. Parents loved it when their children brought this home! It was also a great way of getting some more writing evidence. Inside there are questions such as: How did your family feel on your first day of school? What would you like to learn in Year One? What do you like doing best at school? and lots more! There are spaces for you to stick photos of the children onto and to add a school logo. Please note - the TES preview sometimes looks a little different, take a look at the image preview that I have added for how it will look when you download (some borders have been cut out, but hopefully you get the idea! :-D)

Reception Year Book

(0)
I have made a little year book for my reception class for one of their end of year gifts. I have filled it with photos from throughout the year and some selfies from the beginning and end of the year. There is a 'what my teachers first thought of me' page and a 'what my teachers think of me now'. There are also a few more pages added about what group they were in and what their favourite moment in Early Years was. On the first page I have put a picture of our class pet! (We call our reception class Early Years! :-))
